The Real Estate Company of Cameroon is a limited company (mixed investment Company) with a capital of 1 Billiard FCFA, govern by the laws and payments in force in Cameroon on the Limited Companies, state and parapublic enterprises and by the provisions of the uniform Act of OHADA, concerning the commercial company laws and GIE and its statuts.
Its capital being held in majority by the Cameroonian State, the Real Estate Company is placed under the supervision of the Minister for the urban development and the habitat. The reform of 1978 make it one of the pillars of the governmental policy as regards habitat in Cameroon.
The mission of the Real Estate Company of Cameroon, as defined by its articles, is to contribute to the resolution to the housing shortage in Cameroon.
